He is the firm’s managing partner and heads the commercial and civil litigation department.

He has vast experience in commercial and corporate work and has advised both local and international clients in setting up businesses in Kenya. Additionally, he has demonstrated expertise in corporate insolvency petitions, insurance law, derivative claims, shareholder disputes, capital markets, and securities law.

His areas of practice include corporate commercial litigation, insurance law, employment and labor law, constitutional law, civil litigation, and securities law.

He is an active member of the Law Society of Kenya, the East Africa Law Society, Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Presently, Mr. Baston serves as a legal consultant for the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Ibuka program.
